heavy tank from the Red Army, 30th. Guards Tank Breakthrough Regiment, Russia
November 1943.
The KV-85 was a further development of
the KV tank series and entered service in the Red Army on September 1943.
It was manufactured till December 1943 with a total production of 143 tanks.
The first Red Army regiments who recieved the tanks for combat service were
the 14th., 27th. and 43th.Guards Tank Breakthrough Regiments. Before the
IS-series tanks appeared, the KV-85 was the most powerfull heavy tank of
the Red Army.
